Seriously people. Our system doesn't take much to run, a windows 95 system could do it, the only major component required is a 9 pin serial port. This is made clear on our web site, our manuals, and we tell you multiple multiple times when you call. Don't get pissed at me because you went out and spent $2500 on a laptop that does not have a 9 pin serial and now your system wont work. WE TOLD YOU!

Start selling these on your website:
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Customers get a working solution, company makes a small profit on the adapters, everybody wins.
Why am I not the CEO of whatever this place where you work is?

USB serial port. Done.
But yeah, I dealt with this all the time.

Most people have no idea what serial ports are and assume that any modern system will work with any modern computer. I suspect you'll be dealing with this indefinitely.

I am sure some of them do spend a over the top amount of money, but most just try to claim this in hopes that we will magically give them the secret word that fixes everything.

The conversion factor in these screws up our software. (don't ask, I have tried, it seriously does not work, and this is the answer our software programmers gave me).
